I was born in Neubrucke, West Germany, but was raised in Southern California since I was three. I have a love and respect for the outdoors and mother nature. Some of the things I thrive on are learning, traveling, going to the beach, hiking, playing sports, home improvement, camping, gardening and visiting animal rehabilitation centers around the world. I love all animals and have had the opportunity to pet a cheetah, walk with a lion, and bathe and ride an elephant.
I have been teaching with LAUSD for the past 17 years and this year is my second year at Short Avenue. I am so thrilled to be a part of this wonderful community based family! I have had several careers in my life but none have been as inspirational and fulfilling as teaching. There is nothing like the feeling that you see in a child’s face when he/she connects with what you’re teaching!
