Ms. Beals teaches 3rd through 5th Grades in the Behavior Management Class at Short Avenue Elementary. She has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education, a Bachelor's of Arts in Speech Education and a Minor in Art from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. She has post graduate work in English at CSUN. She has taught English as a Second Language in a summer program to students from all over the world at CSUN. Ms. Beals earned her Education Specialist Credential in June 2017 and enjoys the rewards of using creative techniques to teaching at Short Avenue Elementary in Room 15. She has taught, tutored, and subbed in every grade level from Pre-K to Adult level. She enjoys teaching, creating unique learning games, art projects, lessons in music and science, math games, and working with students of all ages. Besides teaching, she enjoys learning new things! Her hobbies include writing poetry, art, reading novels, traveling, and swimming.
