I began my teaching career as a preschool teacher in Massachusetts. I have since earned my credential from WGU and am so excited to join the wonderful team at Short Avenue Elementary. Kindergarten has always felt like a special milestone in life because of the intersection where play meets academics. As an educator, I strive to make our day full of learning opportunities that are intentional, playful, inquiry-based and centered on the child's interests and needs. I have also taught yoga and mindfulness for the past 10 years and enjoy bringing mindful activities into the classroom. People have always told me that creating a warm and loving environment has always been a superpower of mine, and I hope you feel that when you step into my classroom!
When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my husband, son, and dog. We usually spend our time at the beach, at a park or museum, traveling, eating tacos, or watching movies. I am also an avid reader and am eternally addicted to coffee.
