Jessica Hernandez

I was born in California but was raised in the U.S. and Mexico so I am bilingual in both Spanish and English! I gained my bachelor’s degree from UCLA with a focus on early childhood education and obtained my teaching credential from CSUN. I enjoy teaching and growing alongside my kindergarteners at Short Avenue. They bring a natural curiosity and joy for learning that inspires me everyday! I aim to create an engaging and nurturing learning environment that fosters a lifelong love for learning in all of my students.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy trying out new vegetarian restaurants, propagating plants, and traveling.
