Marina Davis

I am so excited to be at Short! I am from Los Angeles, CA, so I love that I am able to continue my career here too. I graduated from Loyola Marymount University with my Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Special Education, in addition to my teaching credential. I have loved teaching for as long as I can remember, so being able to share my passion for youth and education with my 5th graders. I believe in fostering a warm classroom environment where every student is seen and understood so that they feel comfortable sharing their learning and experiences. I hope to continue to be an agent for my students to pursue their creative, curious, and kind selves. 

When I am not teaching, I like to spend time with my dogs, reading, and going to different cafés. My favorite activity to do is getting iced lavender matcha lattes and bringing my current book to the beach. I also love to bake, especially cookies and pies!
