Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, I was fortunate enough to have parents that encouraged my younger sister and I to follow our dreams. They supported my decision to attend the University of California, Berkeley, where I majored in Communication. After working in entertainment management and PR for a couple of years, I realized my calling was elsewhere. I remembered how I enjoyed teaching children when I volunteered during high school and found myself pursuing a teaching credential not long after.

​I am thrilled to be a part of Short Avenue Elementary School, where we are one community working towards positive change. I look forward to seeing my first grade students grow and become a part of that movement.
